Garza was born in San José and has resided in Arizona and Texas. Most of his family live in the San Francisco Bay Area. His older siblings have done quite well in real estate sales and investing. Garza benefits from their experience and success. According to his brother Peter, a retired real estate broker, "Focus on the needs of your customers and you can't go wrong." Jesús Garza takes his brothers advice to heart.

Jesús' wife Ann Marie is a professor at the University of Redlands. She received her Ph.D. in Art History from the University of Texas. Jesús and his wife have two wonderful daughters. Esperanza owns a home in San José's Rose Garden neighborhood. Estrella bought a model home in rural Mountain House in early 2009. Estrella is married to Jimmy Dodge and Esperanza to José Santa Cruz. Both of my son-in-laws are Santa Clara County Sheriffs and are close friends.

Jesús has volunteered at the Loma Linda VA Hospital, United Way of the Inland Valleys and is an avid supporter of the arts and education. You may see Garza at various Inland Empire mixers and forums sponsored by organizations as varied as Women United, Redlands Human Relations Commission, the University of Redlands and Riverside Art Museum.

For the record, Jesús doesn't mind being called by his initial "J". Some folks are more comfortable pronouncing Jay than Jesús (Hay-soos). He totally understands.
